Simple Okra Fry

  • 3 tbsp cooking oil
  • 500 grams of fresh okra (roughly 3 cups of chopped okra) OR 1 frozen packet
  • 1 tsp pepper powder
  • 1 tsp salt

Okra fry is a delicious and healthy veggie item that can go with as a side for many rice varieties like sambhar rice, curd rice, coconut rice, etc.

Instructions

  • wash okra and chop them into small pieces
  • in a frying pan add cooking oil
  • once oil is heated add chopped okra, pepper powder, and salt
  • saute them until okra is crispy and most of the okras changed to dark brown
  • turn off the stove and eat with any variety rice
Tips & Tricks
  • use heavy bottom pan to get crispy fry
  • adjust spice and salt level as per taste
  • don't over cook any vegetable because overcooking will not only result in the loss of important nutrients, it will also drain the flavor
