in a pan add toor dal and dry fry until it turns light golden color, keep it aside
in the same pan add 1/2 tsp ghee and add chillies, pepper corn, cumin, garlic (optional) and asafoetida fry it for 1 minute and keep it aside
turn off the stove, add bengal Gram - roast and dry fry for few minutes
in a blender add all the fried ingredients, add salt and grind it into a powder
this can be served with hot rice with ghee!!
