wash the soaked lentils thoroughly and drain the water
in a blender add all the soaked lentils
add 10 pieces whole red chillies, 1 sprig curry leaves, 1/4 tsp asafoetida, 2 cloves peeled garlic (optional), 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 cup water and grind (DON'T grind it too fine paste) it as a batter
batter should be in dosai batter consistency
in a dosai pan (flat pan) scoop one big laddle of batter and spread it thin round, drizzle/pour oil around outside the batter
flip the adai with flat ladle, let it cook for 1 minute
healthy paruppu adai is ready, and enjoy it with coconut chutney, aviyal, idli podi, jaggery syrup, or curd!!
